Who We Serve

We serve newly arrived refugee claimants who fled their home country due to fear of persecution for their race, religion, nationality, or other factors. They fear that if they return to their country, they will be subject to danger, including torture, imprisonment, or even death.

Many arrive to us with various degrees of persona; trauma and little more than the clothing on their backs.

Community Homes

One of Inasmuch Community Society’s goals is to provide more affordable and supported housing for refugee claimants in our community. We hope to expand our housing options to include a new kind of housing called Community Homes. Community Homes give people in our community a clear, direct, supported pathway to host refugee claimants. We ask those with extra rooms, holiday homes, or basements to consider renting to our claimants through this program. Interested host families will receive education and cultural training, as well as ongoing support after you receive a refugee claimant/ or claimant family.
